The position
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for executing daily and scheduled cleaning and sanitation activities across production, warehouse, and common areas to support a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role that also provides flexibility to support production activities, as required based on operational needs.
This is a permanent part-time position working Sunday through Thursday from 5:00pm - 10:00pm at our Workshop in Canmore, Alberta.
What you'll be doing
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of production rooms, equipment exteriors, tools, floors, drains, walls, and common areas
- Follow established sanitation schedules, cleaning instructions, and safety procedures
- Use approved cleaning chemicals and tools safely and correctly
- Complete basic sanitation checklists and logs accurately and on time
- Support sanitation activities during product changeovers, shutdowns, and special cleaning events
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and hygiene requirements
- Report sanitation, safety, or facility concerns
- Assist with production tasks when sanitation workload allows, including material handling, packing, labeling, and staging
Does this sound like you?
- Previous experience in sanitation, cleaning, manufacturing, food, or cosmetics is an asset, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, schedules, and safety protocols with consistency
- Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and workplace safety requirements
- Comfortable performing physical work, including standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks
- Willingness to learn new processes, receive feedback, and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
